Agility/ weight sled can be loaded with standard Olympic plates (*Weights excluded). Perform short distance sprints to increase leg strength and stride length. Weighting of a sledge will depend on an athlete’s age, current fitness and endurance level… As they built on their levels of strength, fitness and endurance, the longer, further and heavier weights will be able to be pulled by an athlete. Weighting of a sledge can also be focused on either acceleration over shorter distances with weights being used accordingly for the relevant exercises or adjusting the weights to try and improve stamina over longer distances.
